New boy to PistonHeads saying Hello

Welcome Paul,
All I can say is I have not been here long at all, but they are all good people here and willing to help, advise and take the urine out of you. But all in the true sense of TVR ownership
Please enjoy yourself and dont be shy to admit you dont know somthing, someone here will!
Good Luck with the car, the wine and women are by far easier to manage and maintain? somthing I would not have said before owning a TVR

Hi VYL8 (SHAPESHIFTER)
Well spotted, you are correct. I got it from Gatwick TVR. It’s living up to my expectations, as it handles like a dream. Although still running it in.
Was a bit of a b#####d thought on the M20, a few weeks ago, when only having done 250 miles, I indicated to pull into the middle lane, only to have the indicator stork fall off. I managed to pull on to the hard shoulder and ring TVR Gatwick. My language was choice, but in fairness to Paul/ Sue and the team they were excellent. They also carried out a lot of work on my earlier Tamora, which restored my belief in TVR after me buying a bit of a pig-in-a-poke, from a non –tvr car dealership. I will never do that again (1st lesson learned). Thus me buying from Gatwick. They are a bit expensive, but I know they have done a first class job so far in my dealings with them.
How is it going with your car? The Cerrion Silver Tuscan looked a beautiful car, but having had the silver Tamora, wanted something different, although I must say, the silver was a lot easier to keep clean.
Best wishes
Paul

Nice on Paul.
Just one pointer, the Tuscan 2 you have bought may originaly have come from TMS as I was looking at it around 12 months ago. Suddenly it was gone along with a T350T in green with buscuit interior. Later saw them on the Gatwick TVR website. Only saying this as TMS were advertising it as a 3.6 not a 4.0. You may want to check. You will know if its an earlier car due to the Pod cover being in place.
Hope you are enjoying your new ride, and the indicator...well T.A.D.T.S!!!!

Also well spotted it would seem Alex,
I was not aware it was at TMS before, very interesting.
On the 3.6 engine issue, it was verbally stated to me at the time, that it was the same 3.6 engine as my Tamora although on reflection later the paper work did not state the engine size. It was only when the DVLA papers arrived and it stated 4ltr that I checked this with Gatwick and they said they beleived it was the 3.6, but they would confirm this with TVR Factory. RESULT- factory confirmed it was the 4ltr, I see that Gatwick must have also checked a few other of their cars as well, as it seemed that the engine clarification went up on a few Tuscans in their care.
Funny old business this engine thing.
What does T.A.D.T.S mean?
Best wishes Paul

Paul,
Thats not good loosing you indicator stalk on the motorway - how about this, I was driving in the fast lane of the M25 at 70 ish miles per hour and the entire gear stick came off in my hand - had to get over to the hard shoulder a bit sharpish (bearing in mid I only had 5th gear) - I did manage to put the gear stick back in on the hard shoulder and drive it back to Gatwick.
Apparently this is a common fault, there is a little grub screw holding the gear stick on that once hot comes out - Paul it may pay to check it out!

Ive had lots of little issues with my car however, the enjoyment ive had from the car has far outweighed the problems - i'm now a true TVR enthusiast, its got to the stage where I drive past my home on the way back from work and go for a tear about on the nearest motorway! Im ready for the Sag!
I know the feeling, about driving and deciding to keep going.
“Just popping down the shops to get some more milk luv” is my favourite excuse on the weekend.
Retuning 57 miles and two hours later “ and saying with a smirk on the old face
“ Asda was busy today”
By the way, shops only 1 mile away.
