I suspect the fuse for my cabin fan/heating has blown as neither the fan nor the temperature dials seem to do anything - does anyone know where I can find a fuse diagram so I can check to see if that's the fault? Or is there another route of investigation worth following?

Here's the fuse detail.....
(Ignore the starred fuse (#19) - that was a separate problem )

Neill, sorry to be a pain, but we have had issues in the past from insurance companies ect. regarding vehical wiring diagrams being shown on public forums.

If you wish to supply this info could you please send it via email to those that wish to know.

Thanks

Big Al.

If it's not the fuse, it could just be a loose connection where the loom plugs into the heater module (tucked up in the passengers footwell - near the dash on the lefthand side).
If you're not getting the LED's round the control knobs, then it's probably the fuse (#28).

Hope this helps

Neill

I'm getting the LEDs around the dials so it sounds like it could be the loose connection - I'll check. Many thanks for the help Neill

Try wiggling the plug, that's all mine was.
The control boxes are notoriously prone to going 'tits-up'.

If you take one to pieces you'll see why - the soldering is abysmal!!

Think you can get a spare for about a one-er IIRC....

Theo,
Did you resolve the problem with the fan? Mines had been intermittent for a little while and I suspected a loose wire or loose fuse, now it has given up completely although I to still have the led's illuminated.

Best regards,

James Sim.

Actually no - I haven't got it resolved yet - it's on my to do list. The car is due to go in for a general check up soon so I'll have the dealer look at it then - in the meantime I've been using Rain X anti fog to stop the car steaming up all the time - it does exactly what it says on the tin so no visibility issues so far.

I'm of that certain age now where I cannot find anybody to steam up the windows with anymore, you go from being like a rabbit to become more like a Hedgehog, do it carefully in case you break something.

Please excuse me for lowering the tone Ted.

I had a similar problem recently Air con On, No Air con WTF?

Required a new stepper (not the same as the Chim) took it to Fernies, fixed in half and hour.

Warm a toast now and no condensation.
