Flat Battery - Car Entry
Discussion
Now that our two weeks of summer is fast approaching ( :P ), I came to get the Tuscan out but as expectd it had a flat battery as it's been idle for a couple of months.
Usually with most cars, this wouldn't be an issue as you'd simply use the key. However as everyone knows, the Tuscan doesn't have a key alternative to open the door.
So, my question is - how do I get in the damn thing to charge the battery! Is there a level somewhere or a place to put a charger externally?
Cheers for any help.
PLEASE don't describe how to break into a TVR on an open forum, they can be read by anyone.

Drive the car every 2-3 days and the problem goes away
. Alternatively remove the battery, charge it, put it back into the car and hey presto you will get back in. Or phone dealer / previous owner and get the other way into the car. Another solution would be an acumate - I have one fitted for the odd occasion where I do not use mine for 2-3 weeks which can be enough to drain the battery to a point where it will not start but still be able to get into the car.
Its unlikely that anyone will tell you on a public forum how to get in as mentioned on the first post. If you know any other Tuscan owners it may be worth giving them a call.

I have just made some jump leads for my Tuscan for less than £20. I bought a set of standard booster cables from Halfords and then bought a 175amp Anderson
Plug off E-Bay for £6.99. Cut an end off eack off the cables and solder them into the Anderson plug and that's it.
Better than £70 from some places I have seen

flat battery on tuscan after the winter, jump leads locked in the boot. can't open the doors or boot. The car is in the garage with the handbrake on so it can not be moved, need some advice
Suggest you contact who you bought car from as only having 1 post on here is not the best way of guaranteeing a genuine Tusca owner.

As a Chim owner who has just had to leave the PNJ unlocked for several days, what a bl00dy stupid idea to have the fob as the only way of locking / unlocking a car.
For the alarm only, fine, but having to leave your car unlocked (and therefore vulnerable) and probably invalidating your insurance is design madness. One would almost be tempted to do a Mr Bean job and put a hasp & staple with a padlock on the door!
I would have thought TVR would have got away from this idiotic idea with new models - if anyone in Blackpool is reading, please take note!!!
