....To tuscan ownership.

Well, just picked up my X plate Tuscan today, in place of my ultra reliable Griff(which I've had for 4 years).

Obviously I expect a few minor probs (Hey its a TVR), but on the way home the following happened!

www.snapfish.co.uk/share/p=785171145314554002/l=92295319/cobrandOid=1007/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB

Basically there was a loud ripping sort of sound, and part of my roof is somewhere on the M56!

Has anyone heard of this happening before?

My concern is , if its replaced and just glued on (as it appears to have been), then will it happen again.
and i was worried about the engine

There's also the speedo - not reading above 70.
Oh and of course the oil is reading very low psi, and the light flickers on under high revs.

I'm now having the 'Oh S£$%' what have I done feeling.

Obviously the items are covered by the dealer - but its just the hassle!

Anyhow - from a previous Griff owner, a big hi to you all......

Speedo not reading at speed could be the sender. There was a gap in supplies a while ago and the ones used needed bigger gaps on the toothed wheel to work properly and so couldn't read at high speeds. Shouldn't be a big deal.

The driver's side edge piece of my roof keeps coming away at the rear end. I've had to reglue it about 4 times in 3 years although the passenger side one has been ok. I think maybe the window pushes the rubber against it and breaks the bond over time. The Mk1 roof (3 piece) isn't very good really and tends to leak more than the later one piece mouldings.
