Hi All,
Has anybody had this exeprience.....................

A bit of background...
4.0l Tuscan 20k miles. had a full 12k service at TVR Power last June, Dom said no problems with engine, given a clean bill of health.
Did about 800 miles over the weekend, taking it reasonably steady as had Mrs with me and at a wedding (hairdo etc, her not me). Always warm her up properly (the car)

When I took a guy out for spin all was normal until getting towards 5k rpm in 3rd then small misfire occured changed gear then OK again.

Taking it out on Monday same thing occured when pushing hard in 3rd again, only this time much worse, seemed like engine bits were trying to escape!!! slowed down, engine seemed fine no misfire. All fluid levels Ok etc.

Any ideas??

Cheers

Sounds like the HT leads breaking down under load, or possibly a bad earth... I'd check the plugs or get the leads replaced. Magnecour are your best bet. Do a search on miss-fire that should give you all you need to know.

Good luck!

If not your leads, check the Lambda sensors as a duff one can cause a similar effect.
