...to decide to buy a Tuscan, after your first test drive?
I drove a really tidy black Tusc 4.0 up at Fernhursts a few weeks back when my Chim was in getting a new cam fitted. I just can't get the thing out of my head!
Even though my Chim is now right back on song, and feeling really powerful, I just keep thinking about that planted feeling the Tuscan had - and the ultra-firm yet precise brake pedal - and the gorgeous view down the swoopy bonnet - and the brassy dash - and the noise - and the attention it got (made my Chim feel invisible) - and those gorgeous 18' Spiders and the high-level LED indicators - and the carbon cans - I could go on!
So, is it terminal? Should I just succomb to the inevitable and get one?

I decided to buy one about a second after it appeared on screen when I was watching Swordfish at the cinema. Sadly it took me a year or two to free up the cash.
To be honest I bought mine without even driving it, which I know isn't very wise. I gave the guy (a fellow PHer) a deposit subject to test drive and inspection, but I just couldn't wait and ended up tt'ing him the cash next day and picking it up. I don't regret it for a second. If only my Nokia 8850, which was also in the film, had been so reliable.

Three months. Had a test drive in December, at TVR's London showroom (now gone), and in early March went to LondonTVR (the dealer) to order my new Tuscan Convertible.
After I drove it, I just couldn't stop thinking about it anymore...
Looking forward to the delivery day in May...
had my mind set before but stopped for look and organise test drive then went back a week later for test drive with cheque book the dealer didnt have an s but by the time i finished driving the standard!!!! one i could hardly get my arm around the grin to sign the cheque... dispite the problems still the best thing i ever purchased..
I'm afraid it was fatal for me.
In Jan I started to think about replacing my 330Ci. Following a standard pattern I first looked at Ze Germans (M3, 911, S4, etc.), but also checked out more exotic & characterful Italian or British motors. I new about the Tuscan before, but I began to have this crazy feeling, starting as "why not?".
Then, I discovered PH. Spending most of my nights browsing through the posts, I got both worried about the potential issues and reassured by the enthusiastic comments. The feeling got stronger and became "yes, one day I will have one".
On the bank holiday weekend just gone I test drove 5 Tuscans out of the classifieds and the feeling developed into 2 streams: the "this is definitely not reasonable" bit and the "ooooh my goood!!!! I've got to have one NOW!!!!" bit. Not been able to sleep properly since.
Bought a really well looked after W reg with engine rebuild and all this Tuesday morning and I can't wait for the bank transfer to happen so that I can pick the car up. Not sure I have ever been this excited, apart maybe waking-up at 5 o’clock on X-Mas day as a kid and having to wait for everybody to be up to open what Santa dropped under the tree.
Anyway, to cut a long story short (too late) and in answer to sharky’s question: took me 3 days to buy after 1st test drive and it felt like a century!
