My Tuscan doesn't pop anymore?

My Tusc got back from a service recently and has lost all those lovely pops and bangs on the overrun that used to come out of the brand new carbon cans on the back. The chap at the service centre was saying that you only get the pops when you have a rich fuel mixture which also means it adversely effects your fuel economy? Is this bollox and should I speak to someone else about getting those lovely noises back?

I think it is bo**ocks after 2 services my cars always poped ahd banged.

That explains why i,m only getting around 11 mpg! Mine goes pop and band alllll the time

Think the mechanic is talking B***ocks. It will help with a weaker mixture but it should still happen.

Mine usually pops less after a tune up, and then the pops and bangs come back over the next 1000 miles or so.

And yes it is because it is running rich.
