Hi All, I am looking at TVR ownership and wandered over to Mole Valley at Malden Rushett (outside Epsom). I hadn't realised that they were no longer a TVR dealer. However, they have just got a 2 year old Tuscan in, that they have supplied and looked after from new.
They seem nice, anyone got any experience of them good or bad?
I have been looking around the forum to get info about Tuscan ownership. Does anyone drive one on a daily commute?
Thanks
Graham

No experiences with Mole Valley, I have however had my tuscan for over a year and drive it at every opportunity. Before a recent job move it was my daily commute vehicle and still given the choice I take it rather than the A3 to sainsburies!
They are fantasic daily cars and driven correctly should give you trouble free milage. IMHO

I bought my Tuscan privately. It had just been serviced by Mole Valley. 2000 miles later, I had it serviced by TopCats Racing Team in Aylesbury. They immediately diagnosed heavy engine wear to the top end (they had nothing to gain from this, as it's not something they could remedy). I asked if this could have occurred in the last 2000miles. They seemed to think that the tell tale signs would have been there a lot earlier than this. So either Mole Valley missed it, or the owner neglected to tell me (maybe why he was selling!). Anyway, every time I've popped in since they been really helpful with little niggles, topping up powersteering fluid for free, etc so I can't really fault them, although I'll always take it to Topcats for servicing once it's back from Autocraft.

It saddens me that this forum is putting people of S6 ownership.
Like all cars Tuscan have their share of problems. Having now owned a Tuscan for over a year I have loved every trouble free minute of it
. In the year I owned my BMW I had far more problems and far more digging in the pockets than I have ever had with my TVR.
Before I rant on please remember to take these forums as a place to share problems and bare in mind that the number of TVR owners who have nothing but good times and are far too busy to post threads about it. When you consider how many cars are made every statistic will look tainted as you are comparing it within such a small group (any statician I'm sure will agree).
Don't get put off one of the most exhilerating experiences and enjoyable times of your life because of people love to moan!
Now give yourself a big slap and get your
down to your nearest dealer!

yep, it's hard to make the right call! However, I haven't quite been put off yet!! I tried to see the Tuscan that Mole have got. But it was not in yet (strange as they told me the week before it was actually in!). I think that probably I want a softop rather than a targa. I was going to see if I could get to Racing Green tomorrow, but they are not open on the BH monday.
So slap self-administered!

haha...agreed. When it's built as it should have been originally, it will. Love the Griff, but prefer the way they evolved the styling further with the Tuscan.
Don't like the way it moved on too far with the over fussy chop arsed Sagaris and T350. IMO the Griff and Tuscan Mk1 are the 2 best looking TVRs by a mile.
