Hi Guys,

Just about to embark on a 400 mile journey in my Tuscan - obviously want toget from A to B as quickly as possible. Might sound like a daft question but is it worth stopping every so often to let the car have a breather or just go for it only stopping for fuel?

Cheers

Nick

Nick,
I make the journey from Portsmouth to either Glenrothes or a village called Kilmaurs in Ayrshire, both distances are @ 480 miles usually twice a year, on all drives there and back, I have a 1/2hour stop for fuel and food and have not experienced any problems.

regards

James Sim.

Friend of mine went all the way from Basingstoke area to Monaco with just fuel breaks (apart from the ferry) - no snags. I've done 500 miles etc before no problems at all aswell (cars always work better when used rather than languishing in a garage and getting hammered every fourth weekend or so!)

Hey wasn't there one in le mans last year

I drive mine until it needs fuel - quick check of the oil and off we go again. They run much better when they are warm and being used!

Its a only a car at the end of the day drive it!!!!!!!!! (like you stole it!)

Ive done Kent to Cornwall, Blackpool, Yorkshire and several other longish runs. Only ever one problem which was overfilling the water which spurted out at services. Check the fluids before a long run and just go for fuel stops.

Have faith young man.

Driven from North Yorkshire to Dover in July heat and then a quick hop on a speedferry and 200 miles into France. 1500 miles round France in a week and then back the same way. Car never missed a beat.
