I have to change one of my headlights due to a stone chip. It looks like I have to remove the bonnet to do it. Never done it before. Is it a two man job? Or can it just be propped up?

Thanks

It's not worth trying this on your own to be honest. It's not heavy but an awkward size and just not worth the risk of dropping. A 2 minute job to remove though.

2 man job me thinks... because of it's size, it's not worth struggling with it and risk dropping it and damaging your paintwork. There are 2 nuts at the front which need to be taken off. The bonnet should then lift out. It's not too disimilar to the roof in that it clips into the underside of the bulkhead.

You can do it on your own if you're very careful but is a damn site easier with 2. I put a couple of layers of masking tape along the wing edges just in case it catches them when being refitted if on my own.

Had 2 technicians at a TVR main dealer chip the paintwork on my car when refitting the main bonnet.
So....be very careful.

definately 2 person job to lift the bonnet. Unscrew 4 nuts at front then push in the ball joint on both sides at the top of the bonnet. If you have a TVR tool kit there is a device in there for pushing the joint back looks like 2 prongs on the end. At the garage I have seen them put protective sleeves on the points at the top of the bonnet to protect it. The side lights then appeared to be pushed outwards to refit new bulb.
Hope this helps
