That Old Mk 1 Pod Display Chestnut
Discussion
Oh no, thats really bad news.
So far i've got no fuel gauge, no speedo and efi errors about every couple of minutes. Austec have investigated and it all points to the pod (it's been back home once already!) I was going to wait to send it back as they told me the factory would have it for about six weeks.
I've got no probs with the LCD display so far, so would the above company be able to help?

A lot of the display issues with the pod (assuming we're talking Mk1) were down to the stingy application of solder on the connections. If you whip it out, strip it down, and are feeling handy with a soldering iron, you can fix some of the problems yourself - any really poor joints should be visible; most likely they'll have rattled apart.
Hope that helps.
(My pod ended up going back to the factory, though

Simon at Leven Technologys has a contact who repairs the POD units.
My speedo needle stuck (stopped working) as did the fuel guage and temp and LCD screen. The only things that worked where the indiactor lights and handbrake.
Turns out it was a 10amp fuse, 10 minute job to fix. worth investigating the fueses first.
Cheers

Phil and Martin at Racing Green are stars. I have been waiting months for TVR to supply the pod change and been very disappointed that they simply failed to help find a new supplier (their old one went bust).
Thanks to this thread, Phil has 3 on order and my Tuscan's going to get it's new screen in a few weeks.

I popped in there last week - just to find out costs. They're sourcing them from another dealer at the moment apparently...... But still looking for their own assured source.
(About an hours work to a pod out of the car or a couple if taking the pod out of the car as well...)
Contact Clevor Trevor for a price see www.clever-trevor.net/partsDetail.php?ProductId=142 I think it's about £60.00 to recon & return.
