Sounding like Herbie?

Halfway through a blat yesterday my exhaust note changed, I experienced a slight loss of power and lot more vibration. My car sounded like a Beetle for 10 minutes before slowly reverting to normal, albeit with a lot more vibration and more noise from the exhaust. Anyone experienced something similar?

Not in the Tuscan but in my Griff I enjoyed the benefits of a 7 cylinder 437cc engine when an HT lead would come loose from time to time...





Could it be similar?
