NO chance...it would become a box of broken bits in a very short time. In standard trim its on it limits in an S. I am looking at 400+ lbs/ft with a supercharger installation and have opted for a Tremec TKO5 CR box. There are a few mods to do if you go this route tho. The bell housing mounts need to be relocated, the output shaft of the TKO has a finer pitch spline shaft which requires a new connecting piece for the prop shaft. The reverse switch is in a different location aswell and needs an extension to the existing TVR loom. THEN to top it all the standard chocolate clutch that seems to last only 20K miles or so will lunch itself with a few red light drop starts. Speak to the right people and its easily sorted and yes they can do this very quickly.

Not sure if it's the same one as the Cossies... what torque were they putting out? Definitely read a fair few times about how they weren't technically rated to the power output of modern Tivs. Who knows who was right/wrong, though.

There is a big difference between BHP and Torque. The Cosies could be pushed to around 500+BHP but the torque figures were not increased by anywhere near the same margin. The T5's commissioned by Ford in 1993 for motor sport were called the "Z" Spec T-5 and more commonly followed on to be known as an extension of the WC (world class) box (which was introduced in the mid 80's). The Z spec was/is capable of 330lbs/ft based on 100K miles life expectancy (I suspect this is what our TIV's have in them). It was built with hardened gears, short throw shifter, steel front bearing retainer and tapered bearing on the output shaft. There are specialists out there that produce even stronger T5 internals, but when I priced them up I found that I could get a brand new TKO5 for less which will handle 500lbs/ft. And we all know about 5th gear dropping off the shaft end in the T5 on occassion.
However anyone needing a low mileage (7200) T5 and clutch assembly can get one from Autocraft.

Tuscan Challenge cars vary. Some use road car T5's fitted with straight cut 5th gear. Others have dog boxes with all straight cut gears.
A lot of us now use 'big gear' kits from Competition Transission Services (Gearboxman on here) - basically fewer but larger teeth on the gears. Darren Dowling has been using one for 2 seasons and not had to touch it.
