Had a superb day yesterday tagged onto the Tamora's day out at Gaydon Supercar day.
Question - there are a lot more Tuscans out there than Tamoras so it must be possible to organise a Tuscan meet with a big turn-out. Reckon there were well over 20 Tamoras out yesterday and they stole the show.
A Tuscan owner (forget his name) organised a day out at Gaydon last year which recall had quite a few hiccups but still managed 20+ cars?
If the Tamora guys can get 20+ cars out, how many Tuscans can we get out in one place?
Obviously it has to be a central location and ideally tagged onto another car event - any ideas out there?

Make it central UK and your on (that way its equal distance for all tuscaneers to travel from all four corners of the country) therefore Bigger turn out

Nick

Keeping an eye on responses before looking at potential venue.
However, it has to be reasonably central in UK to widen the potential.
Let's give it a couple more days and see what the overall response is.

How about 12/13 August - Silverstone Grand Prix Masters race meeting. Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi etc etc.
Tuscan connection is already well established for the race meeting as all the drivers will be paraded around in Tuscan 2 convertibles before the main race.
Silverstone is dead centre UK - easy to get to - chance to see the older Grand Prix stars close up.
Just a thought - any other ideas out there?

It was me who arranged the Tuscanneers weekend last year, the only hiccup was nobody wanted to part with any money, so the turn out was low, i paid deposits ect out of my own pocket and was £200 down on the weekend I felt i had arranged a weekend to suit most owners, but the turnout of 3 for Santa Pod was a joke, and rather embarrassing, my advice (apart from don`t bother because they all say they will turn up and don`t) is hold it in a supermarket carpark some where, like the youngsters in there low insurance group cars, and you might get somewhere
I asked for feedback about the event but again no one gave a valid reason as to why the turn out was so low, so i presumed it must have been cost????

Hi Tony - hoped you would pop up and add your comments as I went to the Gaydon Tuscan day you organised last year. Recall you (or someone you were travelling with) had car problems en-route and you didn't make it to Gaydon?
Given the number of Tuscans sold by TVR, it was a poor response for all the time you had put in - not to mention the cash.
Since then, there has not been (to my knowledge) a Tuscan event organised and after the excellent Tamora day at Gaydon, just figured there must be a Tuscan event begging to be organised.
Or am I looking at the world through Tamora tinted glasses?? (my son has recently bought the Nebula Black one that was at Gaydon). The Tamora guys did seem an enthusiastic bunch.

Yep Brent MY CAR broke down (clutch) on the A34/M40 junction, don`t get me wrong the guys who turned up had a great time and where very appreciative, but the whole weekend might have been a little to much, but hey i tried You need something to occupy the troops, other wise after an hour of talking bollox every one will be bored, try and get a dealer or indie on board, or use there location (Silverstone where very good) but went ****, like most Spd 6`s before the weekend If i can offer any advice mail me and i will do all i can to help without getting TOO involved!!

What about the lemans series at Donington? good run out, nice and central. 26th/27th August.
We could all meet Saturday afternoon, not too early!! stay at a travelodge
somewhere about 50 miles away, I'll organise a beer treaure hunt! start the night off nicely! then do a big convoy the next morning to Donington?

Brent - Im pretty sure the August date youre talking about is the same one as the polo at Windsor, which quite a few have booked allready.
