Air con condenser location
Discussion
I recently had my MK1 Tuscan back to the dealer to have a look at the air con which was not functioning ie no change in temp when it was swithed on.
They told me....and I don't believe them that a stone had punctured a hole through the condenser (!!!) and it would need replaced.
Following the tubing back from the air con box (next to the heater box) would I be right in assuming that the condenser is located close to the nose of the car on the drivers side. Looks like it could be accessed by removing the panel to the headlamps.
Any help (photos) would be much appreciated. I believe that the gas needs re-charged. The boys at TVRparts.com gave me a reasonable price for a condenser but I want to make sure I am looking at the right part.
Thanks
Jodi

Think you'll find the the air con is under the bonnet on the passenger side up towards the bulk head. No pics sorry.
Mine stopped working and it was a knackered motor the drives some sort of flap that closes off the hot air.

Nope....that's the evaporator. The condensor is located in front of the engine radiator so is quite susceptible to stone chips.
