Due to the weather being as hot as it is my clutch plays up if I leave it engaged too long about 5 secs in gear, the biting point gets lower and lower until I can't take it out of gear.I know the clutch fluid gets really hot and therefore loose and I've been told it leaks out of the seals when under pressure, but,is this a common thing with Tuscans or do I need the seals looked at and possibly replaced?

Cheers in advance Greg

Oh,and enjoy the weather while it lasts.

Just this second spoke to a mechanic who lives opposite after just dumping all of my clutch/brake fluid all over the South coast road and hobbling home, and he said the old Jags used to do it and started putting in a higher DOT fluid which seemed to help, does anyone know of this?or do I really need to get the seals replaced?

Cheers again Greg.

This problem is caused by your seals leaking in the slave cylinder.

another poor bugger had his clutch cable snap yesterday on the way to bluewater (on the round-a-bout) i don't think that he was a member of PH as he only just bought the car a month a go, but i gave the car a push so it was out of the way of main traffic.
Poor sod was still there when i left bluewater over an hour later.

So do cylinders and cables go often on the Tuscan?

It was me!! Does that count as a spotted. Slave cylinder empted itself on the way to Bluewater. Got home by relay after a 7 hour wait. Still, got out of shopping.

Thanks for stopping Deano, and the owner of M*TUH nice to meet you.

Apparently they were really busy. Patrol arrived after 2 hours, scratched his head and said nothing I can do I'll call a truck. First truck arrived at 10, then had to wait for a different truck as it couldn't be loaded on the first one.

I particularly enjoyed the baseball cap wearing Punto driver who attempted a drifting display in his mums car and nearly collected my door mirror. Kents finest in action.

Very busy my ar$e. I bet many of the drivers called in sick with a bad hang-over from the day before.
Unfortunatly Bluewater is in the middle of the bad side of Darrenth and the bad side of Greavesend, so your going to get this, espically at night whent there is very little traffic around.
