Hi folks, just to let you know that the 'toy' survived oulton park and all seems ok. Tuscan was very fast but handling was a litle disapointing. If this were to become a regular thing then some uprated adj dampers would be a must. Still a super day only spoiled later by 11 english blokes now on their plane home from Germany!!
I met up with a chap (sorry forgot name)who i first met at Cadwell 3 yrs ago with a brand new tuscan. He has tracked the car 5 or 6 times each year since, now done 20+K miles and no problems other than a sticking window which fixed itself on the track.
Only problem i had was a sticking throttle cable which was easily fixed with liberal amounts of WD40 scrounged from our friendly tvrcc track day co-ordinator. (ta Andy)
Seems a common problem.
Worth noting that i had tracking rechecked just before and increased toe in from 0.5mm(as set on 12k service) to 1.5mm.(after reading avalanches post) This has made road driving a treat.
I would certainly recomend the trackday experience to anyone considering it.
Dave.

The chap parked next to you also had a sticking throttle, it must have been catching?

It was so quiet that there was about 5 cars on the track from then on. The marshals left at 4.45 and I was removed at 4.55. Looking for an early dart!
