What pads are people using? Can you fit EBC pads (red stuff) or anything else or are you stuck with TVR supplies?

I've just put some Ferodo DS2500s in my Mk1 and they are in a different league to the standard TVR grade Ferodos, if not all that cheap. Mine were £160 from these guys (very helpful):

Been waiting for a set of rear pads for 3 weeks, so any info on an alternative would be useful.

They aren't on their website but if you email them they should be able to sort you out. He sorted mine on email while he was on holiday.
The rears are Sierra Cosworth but the fronts vary depending what year your car is.

Rears are std ford item(scorpio/seirra cos i think) , most motor stores should have them on the shelf.EBC green or red stuff only if fit same all round.
Try 'need for speed' web site. they list Tvr,s and are v good.

Just had a look and they show EBC 'green stuff' front pads at £55 a set but dont list a rear pad? These are same as V8 cars tho so are listed under newer chims.

Yep, £36/ set. (Prehaps someone will verify that Tusc rears same as later chims.

Yep Tuscan rears are same as later Chim/Griff.

I wouldn't run green stuff in a Tuscan as they are not up to the job according to plenty of people incl EBC. I've heard some good stuff about Red Stuff Ceramics, but also a lot of bad stuff. Mintex M1144s or Ferodo DS2500s seem to be the favourites, with Mintex slightly cheaper than the Ferodos.
