...said the biker at M40 J2 this morning. to him for keeping up

And to think I had been having dark thoughts about Porkers and other such quick-ish repmobiles.

Had a similar experience a few years back in my Griffith. Followed a sports biker on the A3 between London and Portsmouth. Stayed with him all the way and every now and then he'd glance back to see if he'd out accelerated me. At one point he even shifted slightly on the bike to get a better look and held his glance for longer... either enjoying the view or wondering how a car was keeping up with a bike?!?

Sorry to kill the thread a bit but I've just got back from a long blast and whilst out driving I noticed a biker behind me trying to toy, he pulled up at the lights and said do you think you can out run me and never one to back down from a challenge we drove to the nearest dual carriageway. Soon as the lights went green I gave the car every thing it had I'm talking past the red light till the engine had no more... The bike just blasted off like I was'nt even there , he must have hit 60 in about 2.5 seconds and a hundred in 4 if thats possible I reckon If It was night you could have heard the noise from a mile away.

Anyway pulled in at the petrol station and he showed me round he's bike, It was a heavily modded 1000cc Suzuki capable of doing 205 mph and the light weight wheels alone cost thousands of £££ .

I suppose the moral of the story is

Don't mess with heavily modified bikes

There is no doubt that at the low(ish) speeds we are talking about in my case - around 25 - 125 leptons - that the bike had the upper hand...but not by as much as he was expecting

yep on duel carriageways and motorways not much chance with quick sports bikes but on the twisty b roads and roundabouts they soon get quite small in your rear view mirror(err thats in the dry)

Had a play with a couple of loonies on bikes today; one CBR600 and an R1.

Nice roundabouts punctuating 1/4 mile stretches of dual carriageway.

Had the pair of them round the 'bouts, and could easily outbrake them.
Neck and neck with the CBR to about 1.0 speed units.....after which I had him

The R1 however, got the feeling he was just toying with me, which was swiftly proved by him going past like I had just slammed the brakes on!

Still....thumbs up all round afterwards - bit of respect one way, HUGE amounts the other!
Big balls or small brains these bikers....

I'm not sucking bikes but you really have to experience a fast bike red linning through the gears the adrenaline rush is unreal nothing comes close you might look like a Power Ranger but the buzz is certainly worth it.

Bikers respect TVR's but a good one will waste us I'm afraid.
So where's the supercharged V12 TVR???
On a lighter note Aston Martin DB9's are toast-two in one trip.......he he he

Seen that one before.....

Seems either a bit sped up or the speedo's not in mph.
There is no way he's doing 100 mph on the way back down - the road is not moving that fast!

Kph maybe.....

...Not knocking fast bikes though - as per my earlier post...

While test driving a tuscan s into fy7 had a fire blade cut me up then pulled in behind me,on his way to raceways.Timed the lights just right and game on ,the thing wheel spun in 3rd when i looked down speedo doing 150,the blade must have been a foot of the backend.Had to back off for the bend at eros and round about.when we hit traffic the blade pulled along side and tapped on the drop glass, thought i was going to get a right hook but he just shook hands.Wounder what his version was .Oh chassie number ****. Next road test broke down faulty crank censor ,hey you carn,t win them all.
