I had the same problem with my car without the clicking, I new that the discs were warped and made some enquiries thats when I found out they can be skimmed 90% of the time it's the front ones. They cost £130 to do which was a lot cheaper than replacing them.

If it's a smooth clicking could be the pads touching the discs each time they go round if it's a sharp click not sure.

The problem with skimming the discs is that there is a chance if they're warped badly enough that they'll wear unevenly and the juddering will come back - this happened to me.

I spent around £100 last summer to get them skimmed and 1500 miles later they were juddering again, got them replaced around Christmas and they have been fine ever since. The way I see it, I wasted £100.

I was told the opposite the guys I used said a lot of the time when new discs are fitted the juddering can come back but when skimmed it's usually a permanent fix. I'm not a mechanic so I don't know the answer by the sound of it the discs are pretty bad so I'd go for new ones.

I previously owned a car that had badly warped discs, fitted new ones six months later the problem came back all though I have to admit they were pattern parts.

Looks like one of those things that just ends up as a "suck it and see".

How about new discs and skim them for good measure.

I thought the fronts on a non S are only about £130 a piece anyway.

Thanks for your commets guys unfortunately the discs are too bad to be skimmed!!! Just ordered a new set of discs and pads..coming tomorrow from Tvr power. Excellent speedy service couldnt fault them. All in its set me back £360 so not too bad!! Ive learnt to expect the worse so anything less is a bonus.

I know you've already ordered them but I'd be tempted to upgrade the pads all round to the DS2500 Ferodos. They are much better than the standard TVR compound and I think actually cheaper as well.
