Hi All,

I am now the proud owner of my first TVR, www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/63316.htm I bought the tuscan yesterday and I am loving it, however I am a little concerned. When I test drove the car all was weel the car drove and sounded great. However on the way home about a 60 mile journey I had become acclimatised to most to the noises in the car. i.e. wind noise and squeeking from the back window as well as the exhausts. I noticed that each time I braked I heard a clicking noise (sounded like a metal bar touching a metal plate) I never noticed it when I test drove it, I just wondered if this noise is normal and I just missed it or is there some thing wrong?

Thanks for any advice on this an I hope to see you all on the road.

Is there a sussex / chichester meet on at any time in the near future.

could be the alloy pedal surround moving/loose allen bolts(3) around your pedals, if not I suggest getting it looked at ASAP, as you dont want a problem with your brakes.

Thanks for the replies,

I have checked the foot plate and it is secure, I have just taken it up the road to listen again, it appears to be more of a clunk, it appears to come from the front left of the car top of bonnet area.

If you are driving and brake it clunks just once, if you then raleas the brake and press it again or pump the brakes it does not do it. The brakes are working perfectly, it is almost as if it is I am hearing the pads comming into contact with the discs- dont think i9t is though.

sounds more like something is moving around when you travel and when you apply brakes it moves foreward then hits something,
try making it happen then pull off briskly then brake again to see if it happens again.
could be something like the battery loose.
