Tuscan S Mk 1 Headlamp Protectors
Discussion
I made my own up, I bought some clear perspex (NOT acrylic) from a local outlet called signs and plastics. Cut out to roughly a little bigger than fit. Heated the perspex in the oven untill pliable and shaped the circles in the bottom of a suitable cereal bowl (one without a flat in the botton inside. When I get my car back from Craft I intend to belt sand them down to the correct size and fit them with clear silicon. I expect that they will crack when hit, but they should stop stones going through.
I did once read on here someone suggesting that JCB supply protectors roughly the right size, but I did not pursue this.

I considered the paint protection film (made by 3M which is called 3M scotchcal) if your going to buy some, buy it as its product name its much cheaper. It may well work for the grit stuff that gets kicked up, but to be honest my thinking was that if the stone has enough mass to crack a thick tempered glass lens then its probably going to do the same with the scotchcal fitted as well. Hence why I sought out the Perspex option, at least this should dramatically reduce the impact if a stone does get through.
Good luck which ever way you go.
