Wonder if any of you guys can help? Just been to newquay cornwall foe the weekend 700 mile round trip. On the way back a faint intermittant knocking noise was heard from the behind the passenger side dash area - almost like it was in the wing, first heard after after doing about 120mph....after slowing down to about 80mph the noise seemend to stop. Going back up to speed. the intermittant faint knocking started again.

the noise itself sounded like something had possibly come loose, i also noticed that vitually all radio stations were hard to get on the radio?? Has any body encountered this before or any ideas ,is the aerial in the wing ???? cheers

dunno, but noises from that area could be the heater/fan motor gears worn, loose battery? loose exhaust or broken engine mount. It's not the lower bonnet moving?

No idea the Tuscan even had an aerial!

If you have completely lost radio reception then maybe it is the aerial inside the n/s front wing moving about (and I stress - maybe). Check out the below thread:

Hi Orange I can confirm that the aerial is fitted under n/s wing via two rivets and the mast is wrapped in foam to stop rattles..

Just a thought
-had similar sound in my T350. Turned out to be the windscreen trim on the passenger side coming loose and hitting the roof. Took a while to find out what it was as it settled back in position when not on the move. It made a reall big 'clonk' as well-not what you would expect from a thin peice of rubber.

I had a "moment" a few days ago - when I pulled away and when I stopped the car there was a "knock, knock, knock" from what sounded like the inside of the passenger door. Wracking my brains trying to figure out what it was and then..............realised it was one of those wooden air fresheners that I dropped into the passenger door pocket a week previous.....doh!

I've been meaning to for about 3 years so I'm a bit behind you

Someone on here a while ago fitted a Hirschmann hit auta 60 el and said it sorted their reception out a treat. Seems a bit easier to fit than the modwise kit too.
