After less than two weeks advertising on Pistonheads I sold my wonderfull Tuscan last night. The only reason I sold was due to the fact that I now have 11 points on my licence. All the points have been gathered whilst driving my Audi A3 diesel!!!.
57 mph on a 50 dual carraigeway,81 on a quiet motorway etc and I find myself 1 point away from a lengthly ban and losing my livelyhood...my god ,muggers, druggies and fraudsters get less!!!!.
I will be back in a TVR as soon as I lose some points I have been without it for 12 hours and already I am back trawling the classifieds!!!!
If you are thinking about getting one DO IT. My car gave me no trouble whatsoever over 20 months and 10k miles so dont let all the negative press put you of and even If youdo get some niggles it is well worth the hassle.

The A3diesel is my everyday car, Try driving a Tuscan as I have for the last 3 months BELOW the speed limit, try it for 1 hour it is not possible and remember on 11 points it only takes a few miles over to lose my licence, there is NO room for error.
Also try getting insurance with 11 points and if you do try and remain standing when you get the quote.
But the momey is in the saving acount and once a few points are removed I'll be battering the doors of a few owners!!
the A3 is easier to keep below limit and doesn't attract attention..

Like you, all my points were gained in another vehicle, a van to be precise at what seemed everyday speeds ie; nothing silly.
It is scary at first but you just need to be a bit more vigilant.

I have. 18 months to be precise with 12 points. Ok not strictly below the limit.

Again, 12 points are worse and I was sitting down.
You're a long time dead.

I know how you guys feel. Sold my Silver 4.0 yesterday. Nice chap who lived 500+ miles away in Aberdeen, I had a couple of days off, to offered to drive it up to him. I got a fantastic drive through Scotland, staying off at Sterling. It was a nice parting, but harrowing towards handing the keys over. I was dropped off at the airport where I had to see it drive off.

The exhaust note as it went, felt like someone had just opened up a machine gun into me...

Hi Justin I no exactly what you mean, I in a severe depression!!!
I didn't honestly think it would sell so quick I kinda thought it would be with me untill the spring.
I went in the garage last night to get a paintbrush and when the door went up there was just an empty space, money in the bank of Tuscan in the Garage? TUSCAN EVERY TIME..

I'll be okay as long as I dont see one!!
good to see your car came to scotland I had been following your trials and tribulations and it seems like the guy got himself a good car/buy if you sold it for the price you offered on a prevouse post.

It least you got a nice drive in it before handing it over.
