Targa or Vert?
Discussion
I'd be interested to hear ownership experiences and views on the which is the one to go for the classic Tuscan targa or the full convertible.
For what it's worth I reckon the targa looks better roof on but the 'vert' pips it for looks roof down. I assume roll over protection is better with the targa but there is less headroom roof up. Can anyone report any differences at all in the way they drive? I was impressed how like a full convertible the targa felt, panoramic views of the sky and trees etc. it was great. Is the vert really any different to be in?
I think I'm going to go for a targa but just wanted to make sure on here that I wasn't missing a trick.

Convertible has roll over protection too, so that shouldn't be an issue. With the targa, don't forget you have 2 pieces to stow (roof panel and rear window), so it's a little slower to 'convert' - but only a little slower. I went from Chim to targa Tuscan and quite like the best of both worlds I get from the Tusc - roof off it feels very 'open', but roof on you have the benefits of a hard top. All down to personal preference...

Selling the Sagaris then?

....maybe...
kind of depends on the deal but as I have a trackday car (Caterham 7) the extra track ability of the Sagaris over the tuscan is a bit wasted on me. The Tusc has most of what I love about the Sagaris but overall I think it just shades it as a road car. The slighter softer set up and slightly higher ride height are probably worthwhile trade offs for most UK roads. Then again the Sagaris is supremely confidence inspiring and beautifully balanced and perhaps I'm wrong to assume that this will be carried over to the tusc given the suspension set up is quite different.
But really it comes down to being able to take the roof off. I love hardcore trackday weapons like the Sagaris and Exige but clearly I have unresolved hairdresser issues!

Vert looks very nice with the roof down, but I am not so keen with the roof up although it does give slightly more headroom than the targa.
I drove a vert & really liked it,but went for another targa as I like the roof off rear window removed option. Difficult choice as they are both fantastic cars.
