I visited a friend at the weekend who has a long and bumpy driveway. On the way down the drive in pitch black, despite going very s l o w, I heard a couple of clunks - didn't think anything of it...

Next day on the way back into London, driving down the M4, heard a slight clank, and felt a slight vibration - stopped at the services, and BL**DY H*ELL - the nearside carbon silencer had fallen off...

If anybody finds one at the side of the M4, it's mine, ok!!!

Bizarrely, the car doesn't sound that much louder on the motorway with only 1 box, but round town it's plenty noisy!!!

I don't think I'm going to be popular with the neighbours tomorrow morning, and I have to leave really early to get the car up to the TVR Centre in Barnet to have a new back box put on, so I can pass the noise limits, as I'm on track at Silverstone on Thursday!!

fun fun fun !!!

The boys at the TVR Centre in Barnet were ace - they managed to find a second hand back box, and get it fitted at 24 hours notice in time for the track day at Silverstone last week - good lads.

And they cleaned the car and gave it a quick pre-trackday check over for free!
