Has my clutch gone???
Discussion
A quick question which I think I know the answer to. About half an hour ago I was driving and was finding that changing gear was becoming a bit tricky. Then soon after I heard a what I can only discibe as a high piched noise when I depressed the clutch and very little bite, then two minutes later stuck in gear stalled and hand break not working. Are my worst fears correct in that the clutch has gone pop
?? Or is it something like a cable?
?? Or is it something like a cable? The clutch is hydraulic operated, the handbrake is cable....the 2 are not related?!? However...It does sound like the clutch has given up the ghost. If the car has covered circa 20K ish miles or more then its even more likely to be the clutch....the probable culprite/s... the slave cylinder and or the pressure plate.

You could try and make a claim against the vendor who fitted it tho present climate considered it may be awkward and a lengthy drawn out process. Depends on how much you need your car on the road over the winter period. Good news is that there are alternatives available, both Clever Trevor and TVRCraft offer superior replacement parts.
Good luck
