Hi, I have a Tuscan Mk2 Targa 05 and wish to fit some bigger wheels on the rear and on the front. I have 18`s at present and wish to soften the ruide slightly by going back to 17" and a higher profile. I would like something like 295 or 305`s on the rear and standard 235`s on the front at say 40 or 45 profile is that possible? If so Do I have a choice of wheels? I have been on a website www.rochfordtyres.co.uk the site lets you input Tuscan 4.0i and there is a crackin choice I spent 2 hrs choosin the ones I wanted then rang them today and got a very iffy negative response rolleyes with sharp intakes of breath saying don`t think we can get owt to fit that sort of car and promised they will get back to me.

Help please

Scusilo signore,
Perchè dovete cambiare le vostre rotelle siete esso realmente che duro un giro sulle rotelle di 18"o potrebbe esso avere qualcosa fare con le strade irregolari intorno alla zona de Newark!!

Dovreste andare a Specsavers

Speranza siete bene, li vedrete presto
YB

For the non-Italian speakers

Excuse me sir,
Why do you need to change your wheels is it really that harsh a ride on the 18" wheels or might it have something to do with the uneven roads around the Newark area!!

You should have gone to Specsavers

Hope you are well, see you soon
YB

PS There's a bloke on another thread who's looking for some standard Tusc wheels, you might be able to do a deal and sell him your offside wheels !!! oops!

PPS Err, how fast does your car go mister? Bet mine's faster than yours .... for a while

Our SP12 wheels enable you to go up to a 275 tyre on the back (although 265 is our preference) and the front wheel specification improves to ride quality and a significant improvement to steering response - if you want more info on this give us a shout. Unfortunately our website is down but you'll be able look at pics in the coming days. P.S. Rochford Tyres et al can often supply wheels that "fit" onto your TVR... but getting wheels that are "right" for your car is another matter altogether

2 things.
1) The 12 (I think) spokes on bosscerbera's 4.5 cerb are gorgeous, and SP are well worth a look.
2) If you've got 18" spiders you could make a mint flogging them and afford whatever you like. Spiders are highly sought after and you should get over a grand a set.

Spot on thank you, if your web site is down, is there a chance you could just send me pics as attachments so I can choose, I have actually got 5 spider wheels, I am having them repaired at present the two offside ones are perfect and only done 5000 miles and am hoping that the repaired ones come back in the same perfect nick. I just want the car to look that bit diferent and this is the start. Also you state "the front wheel specification improves to ride quality" which tyre / wheel combi size are you referring?

Cheers

I love cascade copper, it is my fav colour. Makes mine look drab. My missus disuaded me to have that colour when I ordered new at the factory mid 2004, she called it an accident in a paint factory colour. Give me a call when you want to sell him! I am not sure if black wheels suits for my tastes but it works on yours.

Where did you get them from? what size are they? how much? did you have any difficulty or resistance in the change of size? (if you did change size)

rjc (also a sparky)
