Really. FFS. I said For f**ks sake!!!

My garage door came off its top hinges last night and in a sprung loaded sort of fashion came crashing down onto my p & J! FFS. Arse.

Needless to say it has damaged the paintwork. Scratches and gouges. So, my fellow pistonheaders i have a couple of questions. Its an insurance job and i only have a £250 excess so i'm well covered and the insurance company (classicline) say that with their assesors approval i can use whom ever i want to do the work. So,

1. Who in the home counties area (ish) would you use?
2. I have reflex pearlecent purple paint, original circa 2000. What is going to be the chance of spraying in the boot and rear quarter or will i get a full respray out of this?

Opinions please.......

Ewelme Coachworks (about 12miles south of Oxford) are specialist TVR resprayers.

They did a great job on my Tuscan when some muppet reversed into me.

Sorry to hear about the damage.

I'm in the process of swapping my garage door for a rollerdoor, for fear of what has happened to you.

The spring-loaded mechanism on the existing door is well and truly s****ed.

I'm nervous of even opening it at the moment as one of the cables has snapped.

TOTALLY AGREE, an electric roller door is on my list of things. They offer better security and weather protection as well. Just need the wonga to do it with....!

I have to admit, I've prioritised this over taking the car to Trackcar for Nitrons and a remap. That will have to wait a month or so.
Afterall if i can't get the car out of the garage.....

Or worse still....cant get it back in!!!!
Your car will possibly do better on the rollers after it has loosened up some more anyway.

Joolz sent a reprogramed EPROM to Dave last week for mine and it was hopefully back on the chassis dyno today.....my fingers and toes are crossed....!
Take it easy Al

Bad luck. Electric door was top of my list in new house build spec.

My kids like it too, growly TVR emerging just like Thunderbirds, just need the music!! Sad I know, it's the little things... party
