Hi has anyone on here removed an engine & gerabox from a Tuscan? Interested in any tips.

Generally not too bad...I tend to take the box and bell off first to give me more scope to bring the engine up.You can take the whole lot out in one but I dont like the way it bangs against everything as you lift it

I thought the engine is dropped down out under the car, with the car on a hoist, rather than lifting it out?

My apologies,it does fall from underneath unless its a cerbie, which its not!
I still take the box off though, makes it easier.
The gearknob does unscrew and the base but what you want to do is unbolt it from the g/box underneath and leave the g/stick behind.

Thanks

I'm sure I have seen a picture at the factory with the engine going in from above.

Can anyone else confirm - above or below?

Thanks

It's amazing to contrast the Tuscan area with the Griff area. OK the cars over there are a bit older but no end to the first hand experience of sorting out problems and working on the cars.
