Guys,

took Tusc for a blat today, on meandering through traffic, for a while, when accelerating, found what seemed to b a flat spot, traffic soon cleared and was achieving some serious tarmac eating, with no issues. Is it just that she did not like going slow, experienced it 3 times, although cleared every time. Oil pressure, water temp, everything else behaved perfectly, tick over perfect, 3etc, etc.

I`ve jut had the front splitter fitted and my wheels refurbed (looks the dogs), wondered if something had been disturbed?

Your thoughts pls

Dave

Had a similar issue with mine a while ago.

Changed the plug leads and that seemed to fix it

check all the throttle bridge linkage, the little springs can go astray and cause issues

Just curious but how are you defining "flat spot"? Is it a definite pause in the acceleration curve? Or is it just an almost imperceptable hesitance only really felt by the driver (passenger might not normally feel it). Only asking really as I often wonder that I feel a hell of a lot more of what the car is doing/feeling now that I've driven it a good few miles whereas a passenger wouldn't have a clue what I was on about...

Cheers

Andyoleary,

no, a passenger would not have noticed it at all, but as u say, i can notice any minor noise etc, and this was what seemed like a definate pause for a split second.
Due for its service soon, will sort then.
Guy from TVR Power said it could be it needs a pc linked and sorting, otherwise could be a minor issue with throttle bodies.

Thanks for advice guys

Cheers David, I thought it must have been noticeable enough to make you post about it. I have a hesitance at low rev's (just "on" the cam) which I understand is normally related to the throttle body spindle but machining it to improve it is normally a factory exercise apparently....not much joy there then at the moment.

Hope you get it sorted, and that it is a minor fix,

Andy

Went for a 350 miles round trip yesterday, mainly motorway, no sign of flat spot, ran like a dream, blasted anything and everything in sight. She performed beautifully, even in some long queues, never missed a beat.

Good to hear, nice one! So was it just a "tweak" with the software then?
