I have a faulty o/s/f tyre valve. I plan to take the wheel off and get it to a dealer. However, I've heard rumours that a Tuscan can be difficult to jack up on a flat. Is this the case? Also, assuming I can get a jack in place, is the jacking point obvious? I'm guessing it's just behind the wheel but I've not taken a close look to see whether there's a plate on the chassis or some other obvious contact point.

Basically, any jacking and tyre valve advice would be appreciated, cheers.

Hi Itchy

How's Scratchy.

You may need to drive onto something like a plank of wood to raise the car enough to get a trolley jack in or alternatively use a scissor jack first. Ideally you should jack on the central main chassis rails but if not possible then use the point behind the front wheel where the three chassis tubes converge NOT the middle of a tube run.

Common sense really.

Okay.

So what about the valve? Can any part of a valve be repaired in situ or does the tyre have to come off the rim every time?

If you search under Jacking points there is a thread in January of this year with a diagram of the jacking points and a detailed description of problems and pitfalls.
I am sorry but I am too ignorant to be able to quote a different thread in this one
Hope it is of help

Just to round this off, the valve core was loose. I tightened it (after getting hold of the relevant tool) and hey presto, problem solved.
