Boot Catch Keeps Operating

I have a Tuscan 2, the boot catch keeps operating all on its own, it seems to be worse when I put the car in reverse and first - I've been told it may be a bad earth! anyone experianced this?

I have the same problem with mine just have to press the left hand side of the boot opening knob firmly and it will stop
