Jump in a buy one.

I just spent a weekend touring Normandy with the g/f. We covered a TON of ground in short order and the car was simply sensational. Perfect for a blat on the back roads and an accomplished GT all rolled in to one.

No other car springs to mind that one can pack so much into the boot AND have room to take the roof off. The attention it draws from all and sundry is great fun, aspecially pop and crackling through backwater towns off the main road. As a bonus, the exhaust note is sufficiently noisy around town but disappears about 3k RPM which is perfect motorway speed. Heating and air con worked a treat, the only tricky poit being all the gawkers driving alongside on the motorway...

A truly fabulous way to travel the continent.

Glad you enjoyed the joys of Tuscan motoring in France. It's an amazing experience isn't it? The car is one hell of an attention grabber.
Where did you stay in Normandy?

Stayed there once a couple of years ago. Interesting to note your comment on the food as we were not too impressed then..it was adequate but rather hoped it had improved.
Lovely place though.

Let me clarify. Food tasted fine, presentation was somewhat lacking and certainly not up to standard. That said, it was in the chateau (so no driving involved) and not overly expensive.

I'd be v. keen to know of any other suggestions you might have?
