help, Lock not working!URGENT!

My husband is currently driving a TVR tuscan S in germany.
Today, he cameto unlock it at the airport and the door is not responding to the keyfob!
barreires in both keyfob and car are fine, the car just won't respond (light on keyfob lights up, he can see the light for the alarm inside flashing to show it is on)

It has been raining heavily lately and as a result there is a little damp inside the car; could this possibly have caused the problem?

Any response anyone could give would be greatly appreiciated, as this is a very urgent matter

Looks like water may have done it, however there is another way to get in.

Thanks very much to W 4.0 TUS for your advice.
I ended up getting the ADAC out as I couldnt feel the pull cord.
The ADAC guy got me into the car and so I was able to get my spare fob from my brief case.
Dont understand why the fob failed. Even got a new battery from the airport and called scorpion.

The hotel cost over 400 euro for the night!!!!! but the ADAC man didnt charge a penny even though my AA membership had expired.
