Took the toy out for a run last week and noticed the temp ran higher than norm, fine while moving but got to 105 idling on drive on return. Checked next day and added about 21/2 pints of coolant. just wondering if the system will need bleeding to remove any air?? Any advice appreciated Ta. Dave.

Yep, checked both fans while car hot and running. I'm assuming that the rad would not be full and have a reduced cooling capacity as result. Trouble is with no visible level/ header tank to check it is not easy to check coolant level. No sign of a leak but did have a slight antifreeze smell so bonnet will have to come off to check. dont even want to think about head gasket o:
