When a car is stated as having a rebuild, what can you look for to ensure it's a "good" rebuild?

- Who did it?
- When it was done?
- What should you look for on the invoice?

Anything else to keep an eye out for when assesing the value of a rebuild?

What was rebuilt?
The engine or the entire car?

Just the engine - at TVR Power I beleive. I just wanted to know what I should look for on the invoice to see whether it has been done as good as it can be.

Or does it vary from car-to-car?

If its a TVR Power rebuild then it should be Good. Dom knows his stuff.
However, i believe the most important thing is the date, the best rebuilds date from Jan 2003 onwards. This is because they appear to use a better quality cam follower after this date.
Its all a bit circumstantial, but i wouldn't buy an early Tuscan that either hadn't had a rebuild or had one prior to 2003.
Hope this helps.
