I read a number of threads about various tweeks and engine mods, inclusing the guy that spent £18k on an engine rebuild! But who thinks theirs might be the fastest and just how fast and how powerful is it?

YZF10 (or something like that) has a supercharged Speed 6 Tuscan that I believe cost him 18k. There's a video of the install on PH TV.

No idea what it sounds like or what the performance figures for it are. They haven't been relesed yet (BOO!). I expect it's around 500 bhp.

BTW, I'm not sure that an AJP8 will fit in a Tuscan chassis, it's too wide. The only V8 install I've heard of was with a Chevy Small Block.

I spent 18k on a new improved engine, clutch, and uprated gearbox at Craft.

Graham's supercharged version of this set-up was considerably more I understand!

How much power does mine give? I'll let you know exactly when I take it to trackcar solutions for a remap and dyno (in the next 6 weeks).
Our guestimate is between 390-420bhp. So somewhere close to the quoted figures for an S !!

How fast is it? A better driver than me hit 60 in 3.9 seconds at Dunsfold. The speedo was reading 66 (to show how inaccurate they are).

And there in lies your answer I think...the fastest Tuscan is most likely to be the one with the best driver behind the wheel who can utilise the performance and live to tell the tale.

Safe driving.

Depends on what I'll do with mine...

After the engine problems I had recently, I will look at it together with the mechanic, and see if the Speed Six is repairable...

If not, I'm tempted to go for an LS6 install.
