Went down to Birmingham and back at the weekend in the tuscan (about 700 miles) about halfway back up the road we stopped for fuel, when the car was fired up it began to run rough, ticking over at around 500rpm. A few diagnostic codes flashed up C and E, also a frost warning and an efi fault.

I though the car would "sort itself" and be fine today, but it is still ticking over very low and running a bit rough, there is also a strange clicking coming from the car every now and again, does anyone have any ideas ??

A trip to the dealer Me thinks. They can be a bit touchy when your stop for a short break when they are very hot, and they do run a bit slower then but generally they sort themselves out. The noise however is worth further investigation. Hopefullt just an electrical or lambda sensor problem.

Gary,

Apart from the usual suspects - throttle bodies, pots, lambda sensors etc - do you have aircon switched on? Could the a/c clutch be making the clicking sound?

Just a thought,

Andy

The aircon was switched on, ill run the car with it switched off and see if thte noise dissapears !

Hopefully an early service will sort out the rough running! If it doesnt clear itself rotate

Gary,

Just curious but did you get to the bottom of this?
