After my engine went pop in November and required the customary engine rebuild I received a ear bashing from my better half about the cost and what better things we could be spending our money on! The car incidentally did not break down and was picked up as needing the work on a routine service.
Last month we were driving the far more sensible Audi A3 owned by my better half up the M1 with frineds. The car is only 3 years old and has done less than 25k btw. As we approach our destination it begins to splutter and lose power. AA come and take it away the following day.
A week later, a call to report the need for a full engine rebuild!!!!
I just wanted to say ha its not just TVR !!!
(Admittedly hers did cost 6k less to fix than mine!)
