Hi, I should have read down the list before I posted on this subject. No idea what it is, think it could be linked to oil pressure though. I get it ocasionally but then it disappears again, certainly do not get any feel from the car that anything is wrong. Always worrying though. There used to be a post somwhere that listed all of the codes and what they stood for but I can't find it now. Anyone seen it?

Does anyone know what efi code fault 4 is? on a Tusc 2. 3.6
TVR Power do not know, they said they don`t have the code lists it is one thing that the factory kept to themselves.
Seems pretty pointless putting codes to faults if no-one knows what it means

Don't know who you spoke to at Power, but I was there this morning with Dom and he nearly wet himself laughing when I told him about this thread. Of course they know what it is. I used get this error code regularly but only for a couple of seconds and then it cleared itself. Its basically telling you that one of the EFI sensors is out of range i.e Lambda (sp?), temperature etc. Nowt to worry about as long as it clears itself in seconds. On my last 12,000 mile service it was found that the fuel pressure was only at 48 psi instead of 52 psi and therefore the mixture was a little lean. A new pressure regulator was fitted and I never got the code 4 again on a regular basis. It now only happens very, very rarely and only on de-acceleration and only for a second or two. May be worth getting your fuel pressure checked out. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave, I spoke to Jason at Power and repeated the request twice as I could not beleive they did not know as I have been there three times for service and trust them. But that was the answer I got. He did say he would need to plug the lap-top in to locate the fault but did not know what the codes meant and expressed again that the factory did not release the codes to them.
Dom was on Hols, I had got my car booked in for a rad repair and headlamp wiring failure and also to look at a new rear spoiler and front wing, Dom had booked me in for the Friday, but had neglected to tell me he would not be there and no-one knew about the wing or repairs. So I aborted the visit as it is a 125 mile journey that would have been wasted.
Dave thank you very much again for the info.
Jason did tell me that if I could cancel the fault then it was not serious and I can cancel it. As you mentioned it is only intermittent and usually when it is cold so it points to the Lambda sensor, a very re-assuring reply thanks, good old PH and its contributors like your good self score 10 out of 10 again.
I was on Doms rolling road and scored quite high a few months back and no faults were present then so I hope all is well, I will keep my eye on it. I have published results on another thread
