just had 6k service a still sounds a little rough
Discussion
Hi all, just picked my Tuscan up following an intermediate service but it still sounds a little rough/noisy and I don't think the pick up is quite as juicy as it was when it came back from its main service last year. Do you know what's involved in a 6k service? Is it likely to be the tappets that are the cause of the noise/reduced performance - if so, any reason why I should not just ask the garage to have a look at them and leave over the other 12k service items until next time?

I believe that its common practice for the indies and dealerships to check the valve clearances as a precaution at the 6K interval anyway. Not knowing the circumstances regarding your instructions to the service shop, but if the car was sounding tappety then any service dept worth their salt would check them and adjust or at least advise you in advance if additional work or cost is required.
May I suggest you contact who ever did the service and enquire?
Good luck
