OK... So it rains and I'm still determined to drive my Tuscan.... BUT....

I get water coming in on both sides at the front of the targa panel and this has soaked into the material on the inside of the roof panel.

I found a receipt from a previous owner replacing the seals and noticed that the seal up the windscreen where the side window sits is different on the passenger side.

So it's been worked on before I'm guessing for the same reason. I would like to do something about this. Is there any advice out there from you guys? Can I adjust the roof panel? Do I simply replace the seals around the doors and targa panel?

Also I get a little water coming in down the sides of the rear screen as there's a very small gap. Is this a simple case of replacing the rubber seal as well?

Would love to get the car dry so I don't have to think twice about driving in the rain.

I think my girlfriend might be happy as well as she keeps getting wet feet!

Hi
On mine one side fits better than the other. The drivers side has a larger gap and this is what i think causes part of my problem, however my roof seal on that side needs replacing as it is damaged at the front and this doesn't help. The one thing to check is that there is a metal ear in the A pillers which hold the window tight against the seal when they are up,my drivers side was going on the outside of this,it should go on the inside of the ear,it can be adjusted by bending it slightly.Hope this helps

the main dealers and indies that know the Tuscan well, will have some fixes for this, as on the early cars (pre mid 2001) in particular they were bad, although some would still leak throughout production years. There was 3 different types of roof produced in the first 1.5 years to help reduce the leaks.

My car actually went back to the factory in late 2001 and back onto the production line for the later roof to be fitted which 90% cured the leak. Only leaks now when I wash it.

So yes, the dealers with the correct knowledge of the car will be able to help your leaks.

The TVR Centre are near you, so I would reccomend them.
