help using sp6 software

Developed a few 'pops' and 'bangs' on tickover with no fault codes showing. I have both versions of speed 6 software and connector lead but am struggling to get the software working properly. Keeps showing ECU not connected even when it is! Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

the key to getting mine working was setting up the coms port on the laptop correctly

On my Cerbera SP6 i need to have the ignition on and the imobilizer off to get the connection to the ECU.

Dont meen to sound a bit dim, but any chance of a run through on setting up the coms port on the laptop.

Press F10, then you can try different setting, baud rate should be 9600 or the middle one of the three if i have got the number slightly wrong, use same settings on both sides.
