What do you think of this car and will my wheels fit ?
Discussion
Hi all, hope you dont mind me popping in from the Cerbera forum but need some advise and maybe an opinion or two.
Looked at this car this afternoon www.sailing-fast.com/bmc/pages/posts/2006-06-tvr-tuscan-2-4.0l-convertible-manual46.php and was wondering what the Tuscan boy's think of the car.
My second question is will my existing 19" traffic star wheels fit ( please have a look at my profile) also is the price about right, have to say the car looks stunning and in the convertible form is the new griffith in my humble opinion.
Would welcome your comments.

Looks nice, but then I'm biased
As you can see from my profile, I went for the Anthracite wheels as I felt that in combination with the black hood, it broke up the Spectraflair Silver nicely.
No idea as to whether your wheels will fit, not to my taste though, but then I'm just a girl!

Hi Barrie, so your thinking of getting rid of BIG DOG hey? I think the Tuscan looks stunning in Spectraflair, although I would since I have a spectraflair targa. Not sure the wheels will suit the Tuscan though
but they look great on your cerb. Edited by ntel on Wednesday 16th May 17:15

Considering it looks as though it has the S pack, that car would have cost about £50,000 new. So I'm thinking its only about 12 months old so at 36K its not a bad price. I'm sure there will also be a bit of slack in there.
I don't think it's an 'S' spec car as there are no front winglets. If it isn't a full 'S' spec, other options were full leather which includes the dash etc (this was standard on the S), and non 'S' cars have smaller front brakes and slightly less bhp according to the book. The colour is stunning, but the paint is expensive so normal stone-chip repairs won't be as cheap as for 'normal' colours, and also check the vendors interpretation of the manufacturers warranty! The dealer network is still waiting for some guidance on this before they do any warranty work, so ask them to cover the car for at least 12 months.
Price wise, i paid slighly less for mine (12 months old also) but with a few more miles (9k) so it's not far off for such a nice looking car. Don't drive it though, otherwise you'll have to own it.... they really are a great TVR

That's a great looking Tuscan - go and take it for a spin and I think you'll be hooked. The price looks about right - although there may be a bit of haggle room in there. As mentioned above, these were £50k+ cars when new (although there was plenty of room for negotiation with the dealers, so in reality, most of the "S" cars hit the road at around £45-48k).
Not sure that the photos are of an "S", though, as it doesn't have the front splitter - the "S" pack included more power (allegedly), sports suspension, close ratio gearbox, gas discharge lights, aircon (and probably some other things I've forgotten) - but by 2006 I think all cars were full leather (again, with TVR nothing seems certain).

Having looked at the picture again, I don't think it is an "S". The reason I thought it was is because of the boot arial. If it was an "S" it would have front splitters.
The price of mine in October 2005 including 18s, paint, full leather, and other odds and ends was £43,000 so they may well be asking a bit over the odds for that one.
The spectraflair paintwork hides the stone chips very well. Yes, the paint is expensive but is easy to match. I had a quote off the factory to respray the front bonnet cover and that came in at £400.00. I decided to leave it and have it done if I ever decided to sell. Even with 18,000 miles worth of stone chips, you really can't see them unless you get really close and look for them.
