I was just wondering what the reason for this is. I've got a 3.6 Tuscan but on the log it is a 4.0. It's definitely a 3.6 according to the number stamped on the engine. So was this just a TVR thing and they were just bad with paperwork?

I had the same situation when I owned mine, 4.0 on V5 definitely a 3.6 confirmed by Fernhurst during a service.

Block is the same, bore the same only stroke is different. It is easy enough to measure rise from BDC to get stroke, 83 vs 92. maybe had a rebuild and new crank/rods? Only way to find out for sure, even if you were two mm out you would still know.
