London ULEZ Compliance

I’ve fancied a Tuscan for some time. Am I right in saying that some of the later models are ULEZ compliant?

A bit hit and miss. Some are and some aren't. If you find a car you like, check on TFL site for exemption.

A fiend of mine had a 911 cab that was exempt, wanted to swap to a newer / later Boxster that turned out not to be exempt.

Jan 2006 is the date where all cars had to fulfill EUR4 regulation (Jan 2025 for newly homologated cars).
In France, it's also the date where you switch from Critair3 to Critair2 for gazoline engines.
It's a bit of a stupid rule, my son has a Mini from 2006, it's Critair2, if the car was few months older, it would have been Critair3, whereas everything is identical.
I guess they put April to reduce the probability of having a 2005 vehicle registered in 2006.
However, in the UK, if I'm not wrong, you can ask you car to be ULEZ compliant if you have the manufacturer data proving that it was already EUR4 compliant before April 2006, isn't? Which is much better than in France where it's only the date of registration driving the Critair number.

Great in theory but who do I contact at TVR to get that data?

You will never get that data because TVRs are not EUR4 compliant

They didn't get the memo according to Clarkson or more realistically because they were built under a " Ministers Approval Certificate"
