CCCs. You NEED to get them.

Fitted mine yesterday and WOW! Just awesome.
Came from sleeved standard cans and wasn't sure there'd be that much difference - but there totally is.
Last weekend one of my cans fell off giving me an insight to what a monster the Tuscan could sound like with a different exhaust. The CCCs seem to get the balance just right, plus they're a fraction of the weight of standard (sleeved) cans so don't need to worry about finding a way to stop them putting too much pressure on the welds.
All in all I'm very happy
Ps I know the above isn't exactly breaking news, however whilst always planning to get get CCCs at some point, had I realised the difference in sound they would've been my first purchase. A Tuscan must have!

I agree. CCC's are brilliant. Mine were on when I bought the car but if they weren't, it would have been my first purchase. The standard cans are just too quiet. So the next step is to de-cat right??

From what I can see, the inside of the CCCs looks very much like the standard cans do when they're sleeved - just a smooth pipe.
How do they sound so different then?
I think it's because the standard cans sleeved, still have the muffler material inside. The Powertech ones just have an empty can around the centre pipe to act like an amplifier. How do they sound so different then?
Just hopped onto the powertech web site, is this the system that you guys have bought?

Are any of you local to the south b'ham area as i'd like to see them in the flesh?
Thanks keith

I love this forum! I was coming on here to ask about loud cans for my Tuscan (MK2 3.6) and this thread was already here.
Had my Tuscan for 2 years and it's time for an upgrade i think
Can someone tell me if there is any difference between the CCC cans: www.carboncan.co.uk/gallery/TVR/index.html
and the Powertech cans:
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-TUSCAN-SAGARIS-CARBON-FIBRE...
If so is one better than the other, and i guess i'm asking if one is less likely to cause damage than the other not just about the noise?
Cheers,
Tom

Ahh! In the presence of youtube greatness! I must have watched this vid 100 times. It's one of the reasons I started looking for a tuscan in the first place and the main reason I went the de-cat route. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqbMyGXCUfM&fea...

I'm sure my neighbours arent quite so grateful...
