Engine rebuild without reciepts

Hi, I wondered if anyone could help me. I purchased my 2000 tuscan 4.oL in 2007 and was told that the engine had been rebuilt but there were no reciepts for the work. I have noticed in the service book that TVR Engineering had had the car in for service in 2005 after 16,650mls and never thought any moere of it. Until now that is, I have just reluctantly put my Tuscan up for sale and wondered if TVR did do engine rebuilds and not give reciepts out for the work they`d done and if so if there was any register or info of ones that were or not rebuilt.
This info is not going to alter my asking price but would be good for the new owner to know. Any knowlege of this would be much appreciated.

Might be worth talking to Dom@TVR power if you have the serials, he might know.

Cheers nrick. I did e-mail Dom the details earlier but he may have been too busy to reply. Ill wait patiently and hope he can come up with some thing.

Call or go see him, he will help if he can but email definitely not the best way to get hold of Dom

I have heard tales of people having had factory rebuilds and no paperwork to go with it.

This is possibly because before 2004 the factory did not charge for the work ( Though your dealer may have charged you)
