Hi Walford

There were a few posts a while ago, the guys (I think it was Rens) swore by them, I am not convinced the mk1 splitter is aggressive enough to provide much downforce, but the Mk2 winglets benefitted from some wind tunnel work I think.

I have looked at it a few times, but I think they spoil the natural beauty of the MK1, if I was doing lots of trackdays then I would really consider it.

There was also a MK2 diffuser I think and the MK2 rear spoiler (little and large).

Depends what you are going to use the car for, but with your V8 I am guessing you'll need it all wink

I had some front splitters custom made for my MK1 Tuscan a few years back, together with a T440/Typhon front grille it totally changed the front end appearance(not everyones cup of tea i know). I Didn't notice to much difference in road behavior to be honest,as i sold the car soon after when a Tamora came up for sale at a silly pricebiggrin

I had some fitted a few weeks ago.
I've been having some trouble trying to get my Mk2 as good as my Mk1 was.
Anyway the latest geo adjustments and the winglets were a great improvement on my drive down to Spain in August.
Pity I broke down on the way home.
I think they were an improvement and I think they add something to the Mk2 appearance.

Did you all of a sudden drive through a wormhole and find yourself back in 1983 for that photo? hehe

Yes, Mk1 splitter makes a real difference at speed. With it the car feels planted, without it the nose feels light.
